JustCards – virtual card‑table simulator
Last updated

JustCards ("the App") is a virtual card‑table simulator that allows users to play card games with friends using their mobile devices. Players can create private rooms, place and move cards, see other players' moves in real time, and, with Premium, create custom decks using images they choose to upload.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Account and profile information

JustCards does not ask you to provide any of the following information directly:

  • Legal name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Photos, videos, or media from your device, unless you choose to upload images for a custom deck
  • Financial, health, or other sensitive information

The App creates a local app user ID and stores the nickname you choose. These are used to reconnect sessions, associate custom decks with the device, check Premium access, manage referrals, and operate coordinated advertising breaks.

You may optionally link the profile using Google or Apple sign-in. JustCards stores the identity provider and its account-specific identifier so the profile and purchases can be restored. JustCards verifies the provider token but does not store the email address contained in it. Advertising services may process device identifiers and related data as described in Section 5.

2. Temporary technical data

To enable gameplay and real‑time synchronization between players, the App temporarily processes:

  • Device IP address, used only to establish the network connection. This is handled by the server infrastructure and is not stored for profiling.
  • Room and card state, such as which cards are in a player's hand or on the table, and their positions.

This gameplay data exists only while a room is active and is removed when the session ends.

3. User‑generated content

Within JustCards, players can:

  • Create rooms to play with friends
  • Place, move, and flip cards
  • Arrange piles and layouts on the virtual table
  • Create custom decks by uploading card back and card front images

Room gameplay content is visible only to players who joined the same room. It is not made public, and it is not stored after the room is closed.

Custom deck images are user-generated content. If you upload images for My Decks, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use those images and that the content complies with applicable law and store policies. Do not upload unlawful, private, sensitive, infringing, or harmful content.

Custom deck images and metadata may be stored so your decks can be edited, loaded, and used in rooms. When you use a custom deck in a room, players in that room may receive temporary access to the deck assets needed for gameplay.

4. Premium subscriptions and purchases

Premium access is used to unlock custom decks and image uploads. Purchases and subscription billing are handled by the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. JustCards does not receive or store your full payment card details.

To validate Premium access, JustCards may process a local app user ID, entitlement status, provider, current period end, and RevenueCat subscription events. This information is used only to grant, restore, expire, or troubleshoot Premium access.

5. Google AdMob and advertising data

The free version of JustCards uses Google AdMob to display interstitial advertisements. Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) may process or receive:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's approximate or general location
  • Device or account identifiers, including advertising identifiers when available and permitted by your device and privacy settings
  • App and advertising interactions, such as app launches, taps, video views, advertisements shown, and ad-break events
  • Diagnostic and performance information, such as crash data, app launch time, hangs, and SDK performance
  • Your consent, opt-out, and privacy-message choices where required

Google may use this information to provide and measure advertising, perform analytics, maintain and improve its services, prevent fraud and abuse, and personalize ads where your consent, eligibility, and device settings allow it. Data sent to Google is handled under Google's own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Depending on your location, the App uses UMP to request or record privacy choices before requesting ads. If you decline personalized advertising, you may still receive non-personalized or limited ads; your choice does not necessarily remove advertising. The ads that can be served depend on applicable law, consent availability, Google's requirements, and your device settings.

On iOS, the App may also display Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission before allowing access to the device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Granting that permission allows the identifier to be used for advertising measurement, frequency control, and fraud prevention. If you decline, the IDFA is not made available to the advertising SDK, but you may still receive non-personalized or limited ads.

When Google indicates that privacy options are available, you can review or change your choice from Settings → Ad privacy options. You can also manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center and reset or delete your device's advertising identifier in the privacy settings provided by iOS or Android. A changed choice applies to future requests and does not undo processing that was lawful before the change.

Premium users are not served advertisements by JustCards. In a room created by a free user, a Premium participant may still briefly wait while the room completes a coordinated ad break, but no ad is shown to that Premium participant. When the room owner is Premium, the room does not start these advertising breaks.

6. Security

Communication between the App and the server uses secure infrastructure. Custom deck assets are stored using server-side storage paths and are not intended to be public directory listings. Temporary URLs or stable asset paths may be used when decks need to be loaded for gameplay.

7. Data retention and deletion

JustCards maintains the minimal profile, identity, entitlement, referral, and advertising diagnostic data described above. It does not maintain long-term gameplay histories. Temporary game state is removed when a session or room ends.

Custom decks remain stored while they are available to your local app user ID and Premium status allows access. You can delete custom decks from My Decks. If Premium expires or is refunded, custom decks may be frozen, hidden, or scheduled for deletion after the retention period configured for the service.

You can request deletion of a linked JustCards account and its associated server-side data by following the instructions on the account and data deletion page. The page explains verification, data removed, possible legal or backup retention, and expected processing time.

8. Children’s privacy

JustCards does not knowingly ask children to provide account contact information. Advertising and consent treatment may vary according to the audience classification, age-related settings, applicable law, and the configuration selected in Google AdMob. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise gameplay and ensure that children use the App in a safe environment with people they know.
